May 2012
- NexGen releases HM-Analyzer.
HM-Analyzer is a software solution that maps I2M sensors (containing tri-axial accelerometers, magnetometer, gyroscope and other electronics) to body segments (i.e. trunk, pelvis and arms) and provides a variety of analyses, including the calculation of the relative angle between two human segments. HM-Analyzer handles data collection, viewing real-time data, and post-processing of collected data.
HM-Analyzer displays real-time data for any selected sensor one at a time. The real time data display depends on the processing speed of the computer being used. HM-Analyzer streams the sensor data and then maps/transfers the sensor data to the appropriate Cartesian/Orthogonal plane (i.e. transfers the Euler angles or Quaternion to represent flexion/extension, lateral flexion, and twisting plane).
HM-Analyzer includes the Data Analysis Tool Set (DATS) module for processing data in real-time. DATS calculates anatomical angles of a selected limb and displays the data in real-time. ISB (International Society of Biomechanics) conventions are now supported. As well, HM-Analyzer allows for filters to be applied after the data is recorded such as Butterworth. HM Analyzer also processes data that has been stored offline in each IMUs memory (up to 8GB per sensor).
