NexGen Ergonomics is proud to have been a Nittany tier sponsor of Nittany Motorsports, a college FSAE team at Penn State University. The team used our HumanCAD 3D digital human modeling software to work on validating their ergonomic choices in terms of driver positioning and front hoop height to ensure visibility based on generic anthropometric values.

The team had their best EV finish ever! They were one of the first 7 teams to pass all techs and prove that the car was both legal and safe. They also had record times in all of their dynamic events.

Product features and tools include:

  • Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation
  • Energy Expenditure
  • OWAS
  • Snook & Ciriello Tables
  • Mital, Nicholson & Ayoub Tables
  • RULA
  • REBA
  • DUET (The Distal Upper Extremity Tool)
  • Hand strength MAE: The MAE (Maximum Acceptable Efforts) method is designed for repetitive tasks that use frequency and/or duty cycle (DC) to predict maximum acceptable efforts (MAE) as a percentage relative to maximum voluntary efforts (MVE).
