X-Analyzer
X-Analyzer was developed by NexGen Ergonomics and maps MTx sensors to segments such as trunk, pelvis, arms, etc. for up to 15 MTx sensors.
The user can choose to obtain either Euler angles or rotation matrix. X-Analyzer displays real-time data (or real-time converted data) for any selected MTx sensor one a time. (The user selects tabs to switch between sensors.)
X-Analyzer inputs the saved MTx sensor data, and then maps/transfers the MTx sensor data to the appropriate Cartesian/Orthogonal plane (i.e. transfers the Euler angles or rational matrix data to represent flexion/extension, lateral flexion, and twisting plane).
X-Analyzer also performs various analyses off-line or post-processing of data captured by the Xsens Xbus Master. The software inputs Xsens data (either Euler Angles or Rotation Matrix), and then provides the following functions:
- Analysis for up to 15 MTx sensors
- Calculates acceleration
- Rectification
- Differentiation of angles between 2 sensors
- Butterworth filtering
- Calculates angular joint velocity and acceleration
- Data Export
- Summary statistics (mean, median, min, max, and standard deviation) are provided, and amplitude probability distribution functions (APDF) calculation of all analyzed data
Data displayed and calculated is according to the following joints and definitions:
- Trunk: Flexion/extension (absolute angle - if trunk is forward away from the mid-pelvis it is flexed), lateral flexion (absolute angle - if trunk is left/right away from the mid pelvis), and twist (relative angle - to the pelvis posture).
- Upper arm: Flexion/extension (absolute angle - if upper arm is forward away from the shoulder joint it is flexed), and abduction/adduction (absolute angle - if upper arm is left/right away from the shoulder joint.
- Lower arm: Flexion/extension (absolute angle - if upper arm is forward away from the elbow joint it is flexed).
- Thigh angle: Flexion/extension (absolute angle - if thigh is forward away from the hip joint it is flexed), lateral flexion (absolute angle - if thigh is left/right away from the hip joint).
- Lower Leg: Flexion/extension (absolute angle - if shank is forward away from the knee joint it is flexed).
- Wrist: Flexion/extension (relative angle between the hand and lower arm), ulnar/radial (relative angle between the hand and lower arm), and twisting (relative angle between the hand and lower arm).
There is an option to "Calibrate" data to eliminate non-zero data and to normalize the data to subject's anatomical position.
