Wheelchair Application System
Use the Wheelchair Application System to help maximize mobility or stability depending on the client's need.
- Determine the chair and or rider's center of gravity in two dimensions.
- Determine distribution of the chair and or rider's percentage of weight loading on each wheel and front versus back or right versus left.
- Tune or adjust the chair, its components or the rider's position and get immediate feedback on the effectiveness of the changes.
Rider is standing in a Permobil Chair Man, support post and foot plates at front

Product Description
FSA sensing area 29" wide x 46" long on a plywood base and covered with a layer of rubber over the top to protect the sensor and to integrate the forces.
FSA used in 300 mmHg calibrated range and un-interpolated mode. Gain reset until all forces captured.
Data is displayed as center of pressure over the mat:
- Front and back axle percentage of pressure
- Side to side percentage of pressure
- Quadrants with percentage of pressure
- Coordinates of Center of Pressure\Gravity on sensor
 Motorcycle Seat Sensing Mat
FSA has developed a sensing mat suitable for motorcycle or similar seat design applications.
Ultrathin Torso Sensing Mat
FSA Ultrathin torso sensing mats are one-half the size of a bed sensing mat (31" x 41.75") and 0.014" thick. They are a 32 x 16 array of sensors, each being .75" x 2" in size. It intended to scan from shoulders to pelvis. FSA software displays the information as a color isobar with a calibration up to 300 mmHg and a three dimensional graphic. Sampling rate is 6/second. Torso mats with higher resolution available as a custom order product. They are easier to use in the bed environment, as the subject does not have to be removed from the bed to put the mat in place. Other applications include one mat sensing of seat and back environments and between a saddle and horse.
Ultrathin Bed Sensing Mat
FSA UltraThin bed sensing mats are one piece thin and flexible mats useful for mapping the whole person on a bed support surface. They are 31" x 80" in size and are 0.014" thick. They are a 32 x 32 array of sensors, each being .75" x 2.25" in size. FSA software displays the information as a color isobar with a calibration up to 200 mmHg and a three dimensional graphic. Sampling rate is 3/second. Bed mats with higher resolution available as a custom order product.
